Cohesion are a five-piece alternative indie rock band from the heart of Sunderland formed in the winter of 2012. Over the last three years Cohesion have made great strides to cement themselves in the Northern music scene.
NARC. magazine said they are “one of the finest bands to come out of Wearside in recent years.” Their sound has been compared to bands such as Death Cab For Cutie, Minus the Bear, and Maps & Atlases.
In their time as a band they have supported Frankie & the Heartstrings, Drenge, and The Lake Poets; while also gracing stages at Simon Says Festival, Evolution Emerging, and Split Festival alongside artists such as The Cribs, British Sea Power, Dizzee Rascal, and Maximo Park.
Amazing Radio describes Cohesion as bringing “a sonic serenity that is built to fill festivals with their layered melodic Northern anthems,” while NE:MM said “As a live experience they are all you could ever ask for as a band of their kind; great tunes with killer hooks, sing along choruses, and plenty of energy and passion.”
