Mick Pini, one of the original Blues musicians to come from Leicester, has had a whole lifetime playing the Blues with names such as Freddie King, Peter Green and so many more. He has worked with a huge variety including BB King, Luther Allison, Professor Longhair, Chros Farlowe and Leicester’s own Rick Grech. More recently, he has also performed with Jimmy Carl Black and Roy Estrada .
At his home in Germany he gigs regularly with a trio of local musicians and in England choses to perfom with Strange Blues who have toured England twice with Mick. Strange Blues are Simon Gilroy, Nick Murphy and Phil Hainey who play regularly in the Midlands area.
