Travel to and from festivals is the single biggest part of their carbon footprint so please think about using alternative methods of transport. We’re just a 10 minute walk from Leicester railway station, you can halve your costs by using Lift Share, and there’s a secure bike park for cyclists on site.
If you are travelling by car, please follow the signs to De Montfort Hall, on Granville Road, LE1 7RU. If using the M1, come off at Junction 21 and follow the signs for the outer ring road A563 (Leicester South and East), turning left along the A50 or A6 when signposted.
Taxis can drop off and collect customers from the front entrance of De Montfort Hall with a maximum stay of 10 minutes.
There are limited car parking facilities nearby within a five-minute walk of the festival – Victoria Park Pay and Display car park with up to 247 spaces (13 parking bays for blue badge holders) and Granville Road Pay and Display with up to 70 spaces. More details are available here.
In addition there are three NCP car parks only a 10 minute walk away, or a short bus ride – Granby Halls, Welford Road and East Street. For details visit http://www.ncp.co.uk. Parking prices may vary.
Park and Ride
Park and Ride operates every 15 minutes to the city centre, from 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday. There are three sites, at Birstall, Enderby and Meynell’s Gorse. More details are available here.
Blue badge parking
Limited spaces are reserved for people with severe mobility problems to park close to the main entrance at the front of De Montfort Hall free of charge and must be booked in advance directly through Box Office. Spaces will be held up to two hours after gates open and then released on a first come, first served basis. Please have your blue badge with you if you intend to park in this area.
